Outstanding emergency veterinary care providers


Jamie is a native of Groveton and now resides in the lakes region. Jamie’s first experiences with veterinary medicine occurred during her high school years, with the help of Dr. Tarkleson and the Colebrook Veterinary Hospital. She looked forward to a rewarding career, combining her love for animals, medicine and her desire to help people.

Her roles at LAVES include being the hospital’s manager and working as a certified veterinary technician. Jamie has a Bachelor’s of Science from UNH and an Associates of Science in veterinary technology from SUNY Delhi. She has been with us at LAVES since our origination; being apart of bringing emergency veterinary care to the North Country has been a priority to Jamie.

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her family and her numerous hobbies. She can often be found running with one of her four dogs, Blake; in her kayak, and tending to her two bee hives.


Falicia is a native of the Northeast Kingdom and grew up with a love for animals and their well-being. She attended the Vermont Technical College and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2014. She entered the field originally in day practice and became a part of our team in 2015.

Her family includes her other half Zach, her dog Trixie, Snickers the cat, and Graceful the turtle. As with most of our staff members Falicia, enjoys the great outdoors. She occupies a lot of her time with hiking, hunting, fishing, and snowshoeing. Often times she can also be found just sitting outside with a book in hand.


Gail has recently joined our LAVES family, in the year of 2017. She graduated Becker College in 1985 with an Associate of Science degree in veterinary technology. She continued her education with Tarheel Canine Training at the North State Academy, graduating in 2000.

Outside of Littleton Area Veterinary Emergency, Gail spends her time operating Paws-a-tive Training and Daycare in Whitefield. Her other hobbies include running her small hobby farm, kayaking, snowboarding, and volunteering for Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country.


Kristen joined LAVES in the fall of 2016 as a veterinary technician. She grew up in Connecticut, participating in her family business of operating a large boarding kennel. She then moved to New Hampshire, where her love for dogs found her again caring for her own boarding facility. Kristen started her journey in veterinary medicine by working as a technician assistant for a day practice. As her skills grew, she ventured into emergency veterinary medicine and has been specializing in the field for 10 years.

Kristen’s four legged family members include 3 black German Shepherds. She spends her time with them hiking, walking, and snowshoeing. Each year in the fall, she enjoys a weak of “doggie vacation”; taking all three shepherds to the coast of Maine. Her other hobbies include target practice and short jaunts around town in her 1980 Pontiac Trans Am.


Serena introduced herself to emergency veterinary medicine during her high school career while participating in the North Country Workplace Education Program. She was required to actively participate in an internship at LAVES, acquiring hands on experience in the veterinary field. She then went on to obtain her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2015 at Vermont Technical College. Serena’s medical interest include both large and small animals, she aspires to further her knowledge in large animal medicine.

Serena is a native to northern New Hampshire. Enjoying her time by fishing, hiking, and snowmobiling. Her animal family includes quit the array of critters; a quarter horse named Shorty, two cats (Bear and Fred), and 3 dogs (Chloe, Isaac, and Moose).


Lindsey is new to veterinary medicine. Growing up in West Burke VT, she has always had a love for animals. In the Fall of 2017, she decided to pursue her passion and joined the ranks of a local day practice. Once comfortable and more intrigued, she opted to broaden her veterinary experience and also joined our team here at LAVES.

Her other passions include enjoying the outside, riding her four-wheeler and motorcycle. She is the loving “Mom” to two dogs Luna a Chihuahua/Pug mix and recently adopted Batman.


Janice is a recent addition to our LAVES team, joining us in 2017. She comes to us with a vast experience in customer service. Janice has added her desire to assist people in their time of need with her love for animals. She has worked in veterinary medicine since 2013 and is currently working towards her degree in veterinary technology. Her four legged family members include 2 chihuahua’s Morgan and Sophia and Baby Boy a Pomeranian.
